Vanilla Magic Cake

Composed of three different textures, this dessert will impress your friends!


  • 125g butter
  • 1 vanilla bean
  • 4 eggs
  • 150g caster sugar
  • 115g flour
  • 1 spoon. water soup
  • 50 cl milk
  • 1 pinch of salt

The steps of the magic cake

  1. Preheat the oven to 150oC (th. 5).
  2. Melt the butter over low heat in a saucepan. Book.
  3. Slice the vanilla bean in half, remove the seeds with a knife.
  4. In a bowl, whisk the yolks with the caster sugar using the mixer. Pour in order melted butter, vanilla seeds, flour, water and milk. Always mix well with the mixer.
  5. Salt and turn the whites into firm snow with the help of the mixer. Using a whisk, add the whites three times to the mixture. Mix while lightly breaking the whites so that there are still pieces.
  6. Line the bottom of the pan (a 20cm square dish on the side) with baking paper and pour in the mixture.
  7. Bake for 50 minutes to 1 hour (depending on your oven with rotating or traditional heat).
  8. Allow to cool and set aside in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
  9. Cut into squares and serve.
  10. Suggestion: Sprinkle with icing sugar before serving.


For a gluten-free version, use soy milk and rice flour.
